Danville police have made their first-ever meth lab bust.
25-year-old Peggy Reider was arraigned Friday evening and charged with running the meth lab out of her East Market Street apartment. She actually called police to her residence to report a theft, but then police recognized a man at her home as David Mackes, who is wanted in Briar Creek Township, near Berwick, for running a meth lab. A search of the residence tuned up all of the supplies needed to make meth. Montour County District Attorney says these operations are making their way into the county. Police briefly locked down the Danville Middle School around noon on Friday. It's playground borders on the building where Reider's Apartment is located. Reider claimed she was innocent at her arraignment. A district judge set her bail at 250 thousand dollars.
